Making your booking
Q. How can I book my holiday?
Why not book your holiday quickly and easily with our online booking system, simply work through the 4 steps and bag yourself some great deals in the process.
Our reservations team in Aberystwyth will be happy to take your booking by telephone on 0845 050 8176.
The booking office is open:
Monday to Friday: 9.00am to 9.00pm
Sat-Sun: 9.00am to 8.00pm.
We will then send you a confirmation invoice of your booking by either email or post.
Q. What is included in the cost of my holiday?
The following are included in the cost of our holidays (except promotional offers holidays)
- Free gas and electricity
- Pets are NOT allowed in any of our accommodation
- Free bed linen in our Lodge and Cottages accommodation, chargeable in all caravan accommodation @ £7.50 per bed set
- Use of park facilities including:
- Free use of swimming pool (sorry no pool at Wide Horizons)
- Free family entertainment (sorry no bar at Aberdwylan)
Q. How and when can I pay for my holiday?
By credit/debit card, Visa, MasterCard, Delta, Maestro, Solo. A small charge of 1.5% will be made for all payments by credit card. We regret we do not accept American Express cards.By cheque/postal order
Please make your cheque or postal order payable to Barkers Leisure Limited and write your name, address and booking reference number on the back. All cheques must be received at least two weeks before the start of your holiday; any holidays booked within this two week period must pay by credit/debit card. Payment of instalments is currently not available online, therefore, after the initial deposit of £50, all future instalments will be handled by our friendly sales team via telephone. On all other booking methods money will be due 28 days prior to holiday start date and we do not send out receipts for payment of final balances, unless requested.
Q. What are the benefits of taking Personal Cancellation Cover?
Our Cancellation Cover boasts a ‘no quibble money back guarantee’ on bookings made more than 12 weeks before the holiday start date, a full refund will be given regardless of the reason on all bookings cancelled more than 8 weeks before the start date. The reasons for cancellations less than 8 weeks before the holiday start date must meet one of our qualifying reasons, for instance: illness, death, maternity, redundancy, fire, floods, subsidence, malicious damage, jury service or the police requiring your presence following a burglary at your home or place of business.
Q. Are there age restrictions for groups who wish to visit your parks?
Bookings will normally not be accepted where half or more of the party is aged between 17 and 25. If this is the case you must tell us when you book. We have the right to refuse your booking.
Do you accept all male and female parties?
The holiday parks on this website cater primarily for family holidays Bookings from all female or all male parties will only be accepted at our absolute discretion. If you wish to book a single sex party you MUST inform us of this and of the ages of all members of your party at the time of booking.
If your booking is accepted we will send you a Booking Confirmation with the details of your party on it. It is your responsibility to ensure that these details are correct and tell us immediately if they are not. We reserve the right to refuse accommodation in a holiday home if your party is not the same as set out on the Booking Confirmation.
Q. Do you provide for guests with accessibility needs?
We are sorry to inform you, we don’t have facilities or access for guests with accessibility needs at any of our Parks
Q. Can we make a group booking?
We offer a group bookings service for any booking of five or more holiday homes. Please call our group bookings line on 0845 050 8176 for valuable advice on planning and booking your trip. We also will offer discounts of 5 groups or more.
Q. Can I bring my touring caravan or tent?
Our Pilbach Park offers touring and camping pitches, please book your preferred pitch early as they do book up fast, call us on 0845 050 8176.
After you have booked
Q. When will I receive my booking confirmation?
if you have booked your holiday online you’ll receive a booking confirmation by email within ten minutes of booking. If your booking confirmation does not come through please check your junk folder before contacting us.
Booking by telephone
if you have booked your holiday by telephone you’ll receive a booking confirmation by post within 7 to 10 working days of booking or for a faster approach by email.
Q. Can I make changes to my booking?
If you’d like to amend your booking you can call us on 0845 050 8176 and we can go through it with you.
Q. Can I add extra guests to my booking?
You can add more guests to your booking as long as the maximum capacity of your holiday home is not exceeded. All extra guests must be added prior to you arriving on the holiday park.

Q. What costs will be incurred if I cancel my booking?
If you cancel your holiday you will be responsible for the full cost of your holiday. However if you have bought Holiday Cancellation Cover, you will be covered for these costs depending on when you cancel your holiday and the reasons for cancelling.
Q. What do I do if my contact details have changed?
If your details change prior to your start date you must advise us in writing of your new details to the following address:

Q. Can I extend my holiday?
Yes holidays may be extended subject to the availability and payment of the new holiday cost.
Q. Where can I find travel instructions to the park?
Whether you’re travelling by car, bus, train or even plane, we’ve summarised some of the options available to you, check out the directions page in each park section.
When you arrive at your holiday park
Q. What time can I check into my accommodation?
Guaranteed check-in time into your accommodation is 4pm on the day of arrival (subject to unavoidable delays). However you are welcome to use all facilities on the park, should you arrive prior to 4pm.
Q. What do I need to show at arrival in reception?
You will need to show your booking confirmation sheet to check in at reception, we can find you through various searches on our system.
Q. What happens if I arrive late?
If you arrive after reception has closed you can collect your keys from the bar, whereas at Aberdwylan we have on-site wardens to collect from at entrance.
Please note, we do not accept arrivals after 11pm – other than under extreme circumstances, and then security on the park will provide the keys to your accommodation. Please advise us at the time of booking if you intend to arrive late.
Q. Can our friends visit us while we are on holiday?
Only people listed on the booking confirmation can occupy your holiday home and we can require anyone not listed to leave the park.

Q. What is included in my holiday home?
All of our holiday homes include the following:
- Gas fire in lounge
- Fitted kitchen with gas cooker, oven and grill
- Bathroom with shower and toilet
- Colour Television
- Free gas and electricity
- Free bed linen (Lodges and Cottages, chargeable in caravan accommodation)
- All of our cottage and lodge holiday homes include the following:
- As well as the features of the standard holiday homes, this type of accommodation also includes:
- double glazing
- Gas central heating
- Fridge and freezer
- Extra wide
- Washer / dryer

- Touring and camping pitches include:
- Use of all showers and toilets
- Unlimited hot water
- Use of park facilities
Q. Do I need to take my own bed linen and towels with me?
All our accommodation (unless otherwise stated) provides sheets, pillowcases, pillows, duvets and covers or blankets. however, we ask that you bring your own soap, towels and other bathroom and kitchen necessities.
Please note we do not provide bedding for cots.
Promotional holidays are an exception, there may be an extra charge for bed linen.
Q. Does the accommodation have pots/pans and crockery etc?
All our accommodation includes a fully equipped kitchen, with cutlery, crockery and cooking implements for all guests in all accommodation across the range.
Q. Can I request to be allocated to a specific area of the park?
All requests are subject to availability, if you have a request please call us on 0845 050 8176 to speak to an advisor.
Q. Can I hire cots and high chairs?
Cots and highchairs are available for hire and can be added to your booking for £10 per item. Just add these to your booking when you reach step 2 of the online booking process.
When it’s time to go…checking out
Q. What time do I need to leave on my final day?
On the day of your departure we ask you to vacate your accommodation by 10am – you are more than welcome to use all park facilities after this time.
Q. Is it possible to buy a holiday home on park?
We have caravan sales show areas at all of our holiday parks allowing you a great choice of locations from which to buy a caravan, or in some cases Lodges, you can then holiday whenever you feel like it find out more

Q. Can I book my next holiday before I leave?
You can book another holiday any time when you are on-park, just ask at reception and they’ll make the booking for you, also why not take advantage of our online 10% off your next booking, this options available at the very last step the online booking process.
Q. When are your parks open?
Our parks are open from the following dates:
- Wide Horizons Holiday Park March – mid January
- Pilbach March – October
- Aberdwylan March – mid January
